Cape Breton Regional Enterprise Network
The Cape Breton Regional Enterprise Network (CB REN) is a collaborative effort between the Province of Nova Scotia (through the Department of Economic Development) and the region’s partnering Municipalities and Bands (First Nations). CB REN activities are delivered by the Cape Breton Partnership with oversight from a private-sector board of directors. The CB REN’s areas of focus include regional economic development, championing business growth, leveraging local knowledge, and overseeing the management of the Land and Asset Database. The partnering municipalities are:
- Eskasoni First Nation
- The Municipality of the County of Inverness
- Membertou First Nation
- The Municipality of the County of Richmond
- The Municipality of the County of Victoria
- We’koqma’q First Nation
- The Town of Port Hawkesbury
- Wagmatcook First Nation

CBRM REN activities are delivered by the Cape Breton Partnership with oversight from a private-sector board of directors. The CBRM REN’s areas of focus include regional economic development, championing business growth, leveraging local knowledge, and overseeing the management of the Land and Asset Database.
Cumberland Business Connector
The Cumberland Business Connector is a business-led not for profit organization. Their focus is to foster a strong business environment in order to strengthen Cumberland County by removing barriers to business and connecting businesses with the resources they need to be successful. The Connector’s mandate follows three key pillars: influencing all levels of government to drive economic development, assisting and supporting existing businesses in Cumberland County, and working with youth to create a job-ready workforce. Our funding partners include:

Pictou County Partnership
The Pictou County Partnership formally known as the Pictou County Regional Enterprise Network (PCREN) is a not-for-profit organization tasked with driving economic development in Pictou County. Through a partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia, Pictou Landing First Nation, Municipality of Pictou County, and the towns of New Glasgow, Pictou, Stellarton, Trenton, and Westville the Partnership initiates, leads, and contributes to sustainable economic growth in Pictou County by fostering a culture of collaboration, navigating organizations to the resources they need, and engaging in meaningful economic development projects.
Truro & Colchester Partnership for Economic Prosperity
Established in December 2017, the Truro & Colchester Partnership for Economic Prosperity is a fresh, new organization driving economic development in the Colchester region of Nova Scotia. The group, utilizing a regional approach, represents business and community leaders who want to grow the region through small business support and community development. The Truro & Colchester Partnership for Economic Prosperity focuses on business growth, entrepreneurship, promoting Colchester, investor readiness, and economic immigration. Funding partners include:

- Truro & Colchester Chamber of Commerce
Valley Regional Enterprise Network
The Valley Regional Enterprise Network (Valley REN) works in collaboration with our municipal and First Nation partners and the Province of Nova Scotia to create better solutions to support increased business activity, population growth, workforce development and investment. Together with the Province, our partners provide oversight to the Valley REN Board of Directors, which is led by the regional business community. Our regional partners are:

Western Regional Enterprise Network
The Western Regional Enterprise Network (Western REN) works with existing regional firms to identify and overcome business challenges. With a proactive approach, the Western REN focuses on innovative and sustainable opportunities in the region’s wealth of natural resources. Its member municipalities are:
